BlackBerry has begun to focus on cloud computing to improve its product offering to the public. BlackBerry apps will be managed through the cloud via the redesigned BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES). With the new strategy, BES will support multiple corporations through one server. Each corporation will have its own segment.
The cloud-based BES will feature deployment options to give users access to applications faster. A web-based console will manage BlackBerry smartphones through the cloud environment. Through the cloud, authorized individuals may reset passwords, delete emails or review device details.
BlackBerry Protect may also be monitored through the cloud. Features such as backup, restore, wipe, device lock and messaging may be monitored through cloud-based application.
BlackBerry RIM is focused on providing mobile solutions that are scalable, secure, efficient and reliable. The company is also creating an intuitive interface that the general public can easily navigate. Productivity is improved in the work place with the use of cloud computing.
BlackBerry Cloud Services
BlackBerry Cloud Services is recognized for successfully integrating the Microsoft Office 365 backend. With BlackBerry Cloud Services, users may manage the daily maintenance of the device. The more complex operations will be appropriated for RIM.
BlackBerry Cloud Service is coveted because users may remotely lock a phone if it is lost, stolen or simply left behind accidentally at a friend’s home. This gives users peace of mind to know data will remain safe until the phone is retrieved. If the phone is never recovered, the data may be transferred to another phone easily. The data will be securely held in cloud storage until users retrieve the data for a new phone.
Another popular BlackBerry app is BlackBerry Balance. This cloud-based app stores business and personal emails on a remote server for safe keeping. The emails are presented in a unified view to make email management easier. Other BlackBerry applications are available, but only BlackBerry Business Cloud Services and Microsoft Office 365 are offered to subscribers for free.
